I have worked as a professional singer for over 16 years in operas, musicals, concert, oratorio and session work.
I have worked with: Welsh National Opera, Grange Park Opera, Opera North, Buxton Gilbert and Sullivan Festival, Linbury Studio – Royal Opera House, Bregenz Festival, Aldeburgh Festival, Pimlico Opera.
I have worked with world renowned conductors and directors both in the U.K. and abroad including: Carlo Rizzi, John Owen Edwards, Craig Revel Horwood, Stephen Langridge, Simon Callow, Antony McDonald, Phyllida Lloyd, Tim Albery.
Professional operas and musicals include: Westside Story, Peter Grimes, South Pacific, Iolanthe, Die Meistersinger, Macbeth, Pinocchio, Turandot, Thais, Lohengrin, Maria Stuarda, Wonderful Town, Fidelio.
Roles include: Louhi in Jonathan Dove’s Swanhunter (Opera North); Rosina in Rossini’s The Barber of Seville (Surrey Opera); Beggar Woman in Britten’s Death in Venice (Aldeburgh/Bregenz); Allure in Mason’s Playing Away (Bregenz) and the cover of Cherubino in Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro (Grange Park Opera).
I trained at Trinity College of Music studying voice with Wendy Eathorne. I also trained on English National Opera’s performing course ‘The Knack’ and with British Youth Opera.
Whilst training I was awarded ‘Highly Commended’ in the 2002 Elizabeth Schumann Song Prize, TCM.
Other voice teachers I have studied with include: Mary King, liz Brice and Peter T Harrison.
